- What is a YSWS?
YSWS is a challenge where you create cool projects using the Spotify API and earn awesome rewards for your work.
- Can I participate more than once?
Each participant can submit only one project.
- What if I need help with the API?
Check the Spotify API documentation or ask in #pulse-ysws on Slack.
- How much time do I need to recieve Spotify Premium?
You just need a mininium of 6 hours.
- How will I receive my Spotify Premium?
The submission deadline is July 8th, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.
- What are the prizes?
If you ship a project that qualifies, you will get a 3 month gift card that can be redeemed for Spotify Premium.
- Who can participate?
Any middle or high schooler.
- How do I track my time?
- What kinds of projects can I build?
You can create playlist generators, music visualizers, emotion-based music players, Spotify bots, mood trackers, collaborative playlists, or any creative app that uses the Spotify API.
- What are the rules?
You need to use the Spotify API and have at least 6 hours on Hackatime!
